This was gifted to me by a dear friend who wants me to get out of the house! I love it! I live in a 55+ area and we’ve decided to get a group together and race! J/k. But seriously, it takes a little bit of a learning curve and then you’re off! Just a suggestion, I have a large, active dog, and would love to see some kind of accessory so that I can hook her to the scooter. She loves it too! But she’s strong and almost pulled me out of the seat!
I spend a lot of time doing research on any purchases and especially is that the case with something as critical as a mobility product for my wife. She is heavy and requires something sturdy, so I was very selective when it came to weight ratings within our budget. Nothing I found in my search matched the features and affordability as the Ecomobi scooter.We knew the scooter would require four wheels for stability, yet we also wanted one compact enough to transport in our small SUV. The attached images show how few pieces need to be detached so that I can lift it without straining my 70+ year old body. The pieces go together swiftly without needing a single tool. Removing the battery (it's easy) practically cuts the weight of the scooter in half.Most scooters of this size and price are restricted to about 4 mph, but the Ecomobi can be cranked up to move nearly as fast as my e-bike, making it possible for us to enjoy trips to the park together again. The detachable cargo baskets are handy, and the seat is truly comfortable. I can't think of a single feature this scooter is missing, yet it's priced will below most similarly equipped rides.
First thing I'd like to say, is that it's a very nice and practical medical scooter. I'm 6'6" tall, weigh 270 lbs and find the scooter very comfortable for me. Insofar as battery life..I gave it an initial charge of 12 hours yesterday and drove about 4 miles today and it's still showing a full charge.Mobility wise it does go the advertised 7 mph, but, I removed the very irritating back up beeping speaker located under the scooter and above the center of the rear axle. This scooter is very easy to use and an excellent value for the money. The only thing that bothers me sometimes..is that in order to start it, you must play with the key switch by turning it on and off and on again until it catches the right spot.
Works great
Put this nice scooter together myself in a short time, easy enough for 75 year old lady. The reverse beeping was super annoying so I turned scooter on its side, found the 1 inch wide round white speaker above the rear transaxle and followed the skinny red and black wires to the connection and unplugged it. Alternately I could have put a piece of electrical tape over the speaker to muffle it to greatly soften the loud beeping. This scooter is a great replacement for our 8 year old scooter that was dying. I have not installed the mirrors yet as I have emailed the company asking for clarification as to how to install them. The hole is not obvious and it appears I would need to cut a hole in the handles for each of them. Rides great, responsive, nice baskets.Update: Seller contacted me to verify how the mirror installation works. I am very happy with the customer service.
